The largest salt mine in Europe, in terms of excavated volume, is the Slănic Prahova Salt Mine, also known as the Unirea Mine. It is located at a depth of 208 meters and occupies an area of 53,000 square meters. It is home to the purest air on the planet, and is considered an important tourist attraction in Romania. The wines from Buzau county are distinguished by their quality, being obtained from carefully selected grape varieties, such as Tămâioasa Românească. These wines are appreciated for their tropical fruit aromas and the grapefruit aftertaste, specific to young Tămâioasa wines. They also reflect the identity of the place, combining the symbolism of the Buzau county Treasure with modern sustainability requirements. The journey takes approximately 8-10 hours depending on traffic.
