Phulchowki - Day Hiking from Kathmandu

Phulchowki Hiking is a day hike (1 hour drive followed by 4-5 hours of Hike) to the nearest 2760m-high mountain. Phulchowki (Pul: Flowers; Chowki: Garden) , the garden of flowers, located at 14 kilometers Southeast east of Kathmandu is widely famous for flora and bird watching. The hill boasts 570 species of flowering plants and 1/3rd of bird species in Nepal. During spring, hill is fully covered by Rhododendron, the national flower of Nepal presenting the trail at its best. On reaching the top of hill, Phulchowki Mai shrine is present with Tibetan prayer flags giving the spot religious touch.
