Adventure in Atins: Nature, Dunes, and Sea in the Lençóis

The tour departs at 8:30 AM in a Toyota 4x4, taking a one-hour trail to the first lagoons, starting with Lagoa do Gavião. Next, we head to the open sea before visiting the village of Canto do Atins, home to popular restaurants like Sr. Antônio’s, Sra. Luzia’s, and Carminha’s (Ponta do Mangue), where delicious grilled shrimp, fish, and sun-dried meat are served. Afterward, we proceed to the village of Atins to explore the mouth of the Preguiça River, where it meets the sea. On the return journey, we visit more stunning lagoons in the Lençóis Maranhenses, including Lagoa das Sete Mulheres, Lagoa Tropical, Lagoa do Kaite, and others. The tour leaves Atins around 4:00 PM, arriving back in town by 5:30 PM, completing a day filled with nature, culture, and gastronomy.
