We meet at Isehara Station on the Odakyu Line and take a bus to the base of Mount Oyama. From there, enjoy a scenic six-minute cable car ride to Oyama Afuri Shrine. After visiting the shrine, we descend by cable car and stroll through the historic streets. For lunch, enjoy a bowl of ramen at a charming restaurant renovated from a former pilgrim’s lodging. In the afternoon, we travel by bus to Hinata Yakushi Temple, a peaceful forest sanctuary with over 1,200 years of history. Inside, you’ll see remarkable Buddhist statues designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan, reflecting the region’s deep spiritual roots.
