6 Years Old Balsamic Vinegar Gocce 250 ml - Modena Italy E04

This Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP is created by aging it in a series of barrels called a “batteria”, which are often made from wood oak, ash, acacia, chestnut, cherry, mulberry and juniper and gradually decrease in size.

The grapes used are from the typical varieties of Trebbiano and Lambrusco. The “Travasi” number refers to the number of times it has been “racked” from one barrel to the next, which occurs annually. Therefore, the higher the number, the longer it has been aged and the greater the wood influence, resulting in a thicker, richer and more complex vinegar.

Gocce’s “6 Travasi” Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP is 6 years old and is glorious drizzled over barbeques, salmon, rocket-topped pizza, grilled meats, cheese or fresh summer fruits and ice cream as a dramatic finishing touch.
