When all-consuming passion becomes a royal scandal. Crown Prince Rudolf is tormented by dark obsessions, shared only by the beautiful Baroness Mary Vetsera. Stifled by the oppressive conventions and pageantry of the Austro-Hungarian court, Rudolf and Mary start meeting in secret.
