Gamification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) & Montessori

When we talk about children's education we cannot exclude games fun and leisure activities. This becomes more important especially when the children are in their early formative years also known as the age between 0 and 8. If children are exposed to fun elements within their education during this time then they look forward to learning opportunities with eagerness instead of despising them.In this course we have explored this side of education by discussing the importance of game-based learning especially in their developmental age. Then the course includes detailed discussions on game-based learning its benefits and the role of simulation and hybrid learning in game-based pedagogy.Furthermore the course also explains and explores gamification as a learning technique. It also mentions the differences between game-based learning and gamification. Learners will also find practical examples of game-based and gamification activities and how to incorporate them into children's education. It is also important to mention that while this course is primarily developed for Montessori and Kindergarten teachers those educating students of higher grades can also enroll in it to understand the importance of gamification and its elements in education.
