Taxi Tour (4+): Hokkaido Heritage Brick Tour & Pottery Experience

This tour offers a chance to experience Hokkaido’s culture through a visit to the Ebetsu Brick Factory, registered as a Hokkaido Heritage site, and a hands-on pottery experience at Hokkaido’s oldest kiln. At the brick factory—one of Japan’s leading producers with over 130 years of history—you can enjoy the beautiful contrast between red bricks and winter snow. At the historic kiln, you will take part in a hand wheel pottery experience (te-rokuro), guided in a fun and easy-to-understand way by the kiln’s artisans. Your finished piece will be fired at the kiln and shipped to you, allowing you to relive your journey even after returning home. Your one-of-a-kind ceramic piece will arrive approximately 3–6 months after the experience (estimated shipping cost: around JPY 5,000, payable on-site). The Ebetsu Brick Factory tour is fully reservation-only and not open to the general public. Pottery works will be shipped after firing, so you can enjoy the memories of your trip once they arrive.
