Ilha Grande, a tropical paradise

The archipelago of the Tropical Islands recently became a world heritage site. Just spend a day in these places to understand why! The lush nature, the transparent sea, the fine sandy beaches are the ideal mix to feel like you are in a true tropical paradise. The largest of the islands (there are 365 in total!) is Ilha Grande and we will spend our day here. We will leave by car from Rio de Janeiro and arrive in the town of Conceicao de Jacareí where we will take a "fast-boat" to the small village of Abraão. We can easily reach on foot some beautiful beaches with rustic restaurants to enjoy the view of the wonderful sea of the archipelago and then get to know some of the most suggestive points of this side of the island or, alternatively, we can take a taxi-boat to reach Lopes Mendes, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (cost not included). At the end of the afternoon we will then take the "fast boat" back to the coast and from here to Rio de Janeiro.
