Coffee and Flower Farm Smiles: A Tour Through Tradition and Taste

Today, you have the perfect opportunity to become an even better coffee lover and to experience Medellín's flower culture. The morning is designed for you to observe, taste, and truly understand how to identify the best coffee by sight, aroma, and flavor. We will guide you inside the coffee fields as you explore the different coffee varieties, learn how the finca workers select the ripest red cherries, and observe the quality selection process performed by the machines. You’ll also witness the drying and roasting process, culminating in a smooth, rich cup of Colombian coffee. After a delicious local lunch, we will visit the flower farm, where local farmers will share their expertise in cultivating flowers that are later used to create the “Silletas” a wooden back frames decorated with flowers. In August, these “Silletas” are showcased at Medellín’s "Feria de las Flores", a celebration where local artisans compete to display their creations to both locals and international visitors.
