Mount Kilimanjaro Day Hike

Unlike other routes that use tents, Marangu is the only route with permanent huts, making it the most accessible and comfortable for a day hike. On the day hike, you'll typically reach Mandara Hut (2,700m / 8,858 ft), offering a cozy rest stop in the rainforest. You’ll hike through dense, green rainforest, with massive fig trees, mossy vines, and a soundtrack of birds and monkeys.
