Old Town and Castle Group Tour in Ljubljana

This tour is the perfect extension to our Classic City Tour and includes the southern parts of "Old Town" which are not visited on classic tours, and the castle. It's a delightful mix of history, legend and medieval tradition. As usual, we meet in Preseren Square, from which we walk directly to the inner courtyard of Town Hall to hear fascinating stories of days gone by and the clowns that ran the show. We then continue down Old Town road, passing various points of interest on the way, before arriving at the Hercules Fountain in Old Town Square. From there we walk up Ljubljana's oldest road (16th century) and climb up to the Castle by foot (easy 12 minutes walk, no option for funicular from this side of the hill), with other points of interest and viewpoints on the way. We finish off in the castle, where we visit the inner courtyard, various halls, dungeons, the chapel and the walls for the best views of town. Its a delightful tour filled with fascinating content.
