Brewing Recommendation: Filter Brews / Modern Espresso

Fruity Rwandan coffee! Upon drinking, our roaster and baristas perceived sweet fruity aroma upon grinding, yet unexpectedly hit by a dash of fermenty acidity that reminds us of tropical fruit mix and a sweetness that resembles red dates.

At an altitude of 1700–2300 metres, the Rulindo region in northern Rwanda experiences two dry seasons and two rainy seasons annually, with a warm climate and copious rainfall all year long.

Meanwhile, the producer Juru Coffee Cooperative (which means "heaven") aspires to unite communities by converting farmers from doing only subsistence farming to producing high-quality coffee. This is an upward movement that improves both the value and market price for the local Rwandan coffee families, which can then end the cycle of poverty by investing in their children's education and well-being when they are able to produce and sell high-quality products.

Feel like trying this special coffee? Order a filter brew at our place and see if you like them! Our retail space is located in USJ1 (near Subang SS15 area / Damen Mall).
