Le Difese 2022 Tenuta San Guido Tuscany - Italy Red E04

Tenuta San Guido is named after the Saint Guido della Gherardesca who lived during the XI century. It is located on the Tyrrhenian coast, between Livorno e Grosseto, in Maremma, an area made famous by Italian Nobel prize winner Giosuè Carducci, and it stretches for 13 km from the sea to the hills.

Grape blend: 70 % Cabernet Sauvignon 30 % Sangiovese Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature and maceration lasts for about 12 days for both the Cabernet Sauvignon to the Sangiovese. It is then aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels and for a further three months in the bottle.

Ruby red, the nose expresses a beautiful olfactory profile characterized by a certain fruitiness followed by a beautiful floral tone. 

Sensations are also spicy and slightly balsamic open to an enveloping taste and fine, fresh and elegant. A beautiful tannic texture, perfectly integrated, caresses the palate up to a final of excellent cleanliness and persistence.
