Guided Tour Zócalo to Palaces, Churches and Pyramids

On his first visits, Humboldt referred to Mexico City as the City of Palaces. Join our tour to discover them. We will meet at the Hemiciclo a Benito Juárez, located next to the central Alameda Park. From there we will talk about the politics of modern Mexico, the division between church and state, the Porfiriato, and in general, the development of modernity. Then we will visit the first floor of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Casa de los Azulejos, Palacio del Correo and the National Museum of Art. There we will talk about the Italian architectural diaspora in the country. We will continue our tour on Calle Madero, visiting the Temple of San Francisco, as well as analyzing the baroque and neoclassical architecture of the historic center. Finally, we will arrive at the Zócalo where we will admire the Metropolitan Cathedral, as well as the archaeological zone of the Templo Mayor.
