Crocus 'Vanguard'

Jumbo Crocus (C. vernus) - Larger than the botanical crocuses, "Jumbos" make a splash of early spring colour. Plant in your lawn, between shrubs, in borders, or in patio containers. They bloom a few weeks after the botanical crocuses - mixing both will create a long-flowering carpet of colour! Flowers February-March. Height 10cm. Vanguard -An unusual and highly desirable mauve-and-light-grey bicolour. Bulb size 8/9cm. Crocuses are among the first heralds of spring.
