Private Historic Old San Juan & Piñones Food Tasting Tour

First we will take you to Old San Juan where you will stroll through the city including the Capitol Building Grounds, the Walkway of the Presidents, walls and forts, and the blue cobblestone streets and celebrate our history and culture learning about it's top 90 landmarks. Then we’ll visit Piñones, our vibrant Black Heritage area. Here, you’ll not only have the opportunity to savor African-Taino-infused street food, but also witness the art of preparing our traditional dishes in the last remaining place where items are still made right in front of you. Using centuries-old techniques passed down by their ancestors, the true locals of this colorful community will prepare delicacies like Alcapurrias: A Taino-African fritter made from yuca and yautía; Piononos: A true African-inspired fritter, featuring a flour-coated sweet plantain nest; or Empanadillas: A Spanish-African fritter, made with a flour-based dough, all stuffed with your choice of meat or seafood and fried to perfection.
