The Ornellaia Estate was created in 1981 and is located near the picturesque village of Bolgheri, on the unspoiled Tuscan coast. Ornellaia, Estate’s flagship wine, was first produced with vintage 1985. Ornellaia's 'Essence': its natural style, the exceptional quality of its terroir, and the competence of those who work in the vineyards and the cellar. 

Blend: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot 

Seductive aromas of pencil and currants with gravel and iodine.

Full bodied with bound tannins that are firm and concentrated.

Very fresh and energetic with wonderful length and intensity for this vintage.
