IDDA Nerello Mascalese 2022 Etna Rosso Angelo Gaja Sicily - Italy Red G01

The vines grow at an altitude of 700 - 800 meters above sea level in the municipality of Biancavilla on the southwest slope of Mount Etna. Traditional mash fermentation for 21 days mainly in cement tanks, followed by 24 months of aging in large oak barrels.

Grape varieties: 100% Nerello Mascalese

The wine presents itself in a bright ruby red. 
Red fruity aromas of sour cherry, mulberry and marzipan on the nose. 
Aromas of ripe fruit on the palate, notes of citrus fruits, tomato leaves and oregano. 
The finish has a good mineral length with a hint of flint.
