Tokyo 6hr Private Guided Tour & Maki-e Experience

This 6 hours walking tour, includes 2 hours Maki-e experience at Mutoh. Maki-e is a traditional Japanese lacquerware technique where gold, silver, or other precious powders are sprinkled onto wet lacquer to create intricate designs. The word "maki-e" roughly translates to "sprinkled picture" because of how the powders are applied to form detailed patterns or pictures. Before your Maki-e experience, you will go on a walking tour with our licensed guide! Your guide will drop you off at Mutoh after a 4 hour walking tour. Your start time for the experience may vary. The estimated time for the experience will be about 4 hours from the start of the tour. You can customize your tour directly with the guide after placing your reservation.
