He began to make his mark on the coffee industry with innovative fermentation methods. As patriarch of the Arcila family, he is the father of Felipe and Carlos Arcila, the owners of Cofinet, as well as family farms such as Jardines del Eden. He now owns five other farms: Villarazo, Mazatlan, Santa Monica, Maracay and Buenos Aires. Each of these family estates contributes to Arcila's coffee heritage.
