Clos de Tart 2016 Grand Cru Domaine du Clos de Tart - Burgundy Red G01

Clos de Tart is one of the most prestigious Grands crus of Burgundy. Located in Morey-Saint-Denis in Côte de Nuits, this 7.5-hectare vineyard is a monopoly belonging to Maison Mommesin. 

The Clos de Tart has never been divided since its creation, which dates from the twelfth century. The terroir from which Pinot Noir benefits makes it possible to produce unparalleled wines. Optimal exposure, and perfect clay-limestone soils, contribute to the success of this great wine from Côte de Nuits. 

A nose full of freshness, restraint and an attractive maturity where plums are expressed with a spicy touch, violets and rose petals. In the mouth, there is a richness and volume all in texture and concentration to which are added intense aromas and yet in restraint with a persistent, very firm and magnificently balanced finish.

Bright cherries, strawberries with a hint of savory, the tannins are seductive and the texture is silky. It is round, elegant with a lot of depth and a generous palate without being too heavy.
