Filipino food rewards the curious, but it isn’t always easy for newcomers to know where to start. Some of the best dishes aren’t the most obvious ones, and they’re often overlooked. This tour is relaxed and flexible, and along the way I will be sharing historical and cultural context to the many influences that shape Filipino cuisine, from indigenous roots to Spanish and modern influences. After years in the Los Angeles food scene and now living full-time in the Philippines, I help my guests bridge cultural and taste gaps so they can experience Filipino food with confidence.
