Your trek begins at Marangu Gate (1,900 m), where you will journey through the lush equatorial rainforest en route to Mandara Hut (2,700 m), located on the forest belt boundary just below Maundi Crater. Along the way, you will experience the mountain’s rich biodiversity and enjoy stunning vistas of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail offers opportunities to observe a variety of vibrant bird species and several types of monkeys, including the Black-and-White Colobus.
