Private Tour trough History and Culture of Madeira Embroidery

This tour is dedicated to the history and culture of Madeira Embroidery, the Museum of Embroidery and Handicrafts recreates the romantic atmosphere of a Madeiran house. This museum seeks to recreate the romantic atmosphere of a house on the island of Madeira, paying homage to a centuries-old art and offering the visitor a display of pieces, true relics, which were produced over 150 years ago, and which attest to the refinement, luxury, and perfection, which have always been common denominators of this art that, due to its attributes, has become an internationally recognized brand. We will visit the Museum, some Madeira Embroidery shops as well as the Madeira and Wine Institute where you can also look for our local handicrafters’ creation.
