Description
Natural processed Colombian coffee from Finca Russilandia produced by Heyler Guerra in Villarrica, Colombia. The 2022 harvest lot was the first we had from Heyler and since then have been quite eager to get our hands on any amount we can from him. Limited release from the May 2024 harvest brought in by our friends at LaREB (La Real Expedición Botánica) who we work with in Colombia.
This lot is a long fermentation Natural processed Castillo. The whole cherries are fermented for up to three days in closed tanks. Controlled long fermentation with attention to detail in every step of the way yields bold and very wildly fruit forward characteristics in the cup. Nice take on the flavour profile of this more common variety.
Expect very bold, yet bright and wildly fruity cup with ripe red apple acidity and red cherry with good depth and big sweetness.
All our coffees are roasted so that you can enjoy them as both filter and espresso (omni roast).
