The ideal times to explore the park are at 7:00 AM or 6:00 PM, when the animals are most active. During the day, the heat drives them into the shade, making sightings less frequent. For your safari, we left Tangalle at 4:30 AM, arriving at the park around dawn. The early start was rewarded with breathtaking views of Sri Lanka awakening—golden light spreading across paddy fields, water buffalo grazing, and peacocks strutting fearlessly on the roads.
