From mid-October to late January, orcas, humpbacks, and fin whales gather in the outer Altafjord — and Seiland House puts you right in the middle of it. With Arctic dolphins, sea eagles, and diverse birdlife, the area is a haven for nature lovers and photographers. On peaceful Seiland — mostly protected as a national park — our retreat offers untouched wilderness, few residents, and ideal Northern Lights viewing far from city lights. This 5-day tour runs Sunday to Thursday, with 4 nights at Seiland House and 3 full activity with a glimpse into the local life. Stay in cozy apartments and enjoy traditional meals in our Boat House restaurant or a drink in the Caribbean Bar. Embarque in a warm whale-watching boat, with wildlife often visible from shore, relax in the outdoor sauna or hot tub and head out to chase the Aurora.
