Making Shime-nawa, a Japanese custom in Tokyo

Why don't you join us to make shimenawa ornaments of Japanese traditional culture? The design features mizuhiki wrapped around the shimenawa and a crane attached. High-quality artificial flowers are arranged around a shimenawa rope made of richly scented rush grass. We will arrange Senryo (which means “good luck” and will make you rich), pine trees, bamboo grass, dahlias, and mums. We hope you will be able to design your own shimenawa arrangement without sticking to the sample. We will show you how to make it in the video.
