Start your morning early with a walk to a local beach to collect shellfish, and then return to your host Ana's home for a private cooking lesson featuring your shellfish catch and other traditional Croatian dishes. Learn about Croatian cooking and culture from a Croatian native. Your host, Ana, has been living on Preko for nearly two decades, the same island where her mother and grandparents grew up. Growing up, Ana spent her summers living together with her grandparents in Preko, and she learned to cook at an early age from her mother and grandmother. Currently a marine scientist who teaches coastal ecosystems, conservation and biomimicry, Ana is passionate about traditional cooking knowledge and wants to share that passion with travelers from around the world.
