The tour guide has been working as a language expert (Japanese & English) for companies' international projects for many years. She's currently a Japanese language instructor and tour guide as well. She first guide tourists to Konkai-Komyoji temple, one of the eight head temples of the Jodo (Pure Land) Sect, founded in 1175 by the priest Honen. The massive two-story wooden entrance gate (built in 1860) is one of the largest in Kyoto and offers a commanding view of the city. The garden is spacious with the traditional arched bridge ,so you can enjoy walking around. After spending around 30 mins at the temple, the guide will take to one of the sub temples of this temple where you enjoy one experience that you have selected among making prayer's beads, sutra copying, coloring book copying, making your own goshuin book, making sutras, flower-dried red bean paste rice cake with Matcha tea ceremony.
