Samburu means butterfly. The only semi-arid park to the North of Equator sheltering five unique animals. Has the Elephants migration which crosses the Brown River Ewaso Ngiro. Meru is known for the Black and White Rhinoceros of the swamp. The famous conservationists Joy and George Adamson used to leave here. They introduced the Lioness called 'Elsa' into nature.
