The Antinori Family has been involved in the production of wine for over six centuries, ever since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered as a member, the “Arte Fiorentina”, the Winemakers’ Guild of the city of Florence. The Pian delle Vigne estate is located 3.5 miles to the south of the town of Montalcino above the Orcia river valley.

The Pian Delle Vigne estate is located 6 kilometers (3.5 miles) southwest of Montalcino. Its name comes from the eponymous area where a characteristic nineteenth-century railway station is located.  The Antinori family acquired the estate in 1995, the same year the first Brunello Pian delle Vigne was harvested.

Color Intense ruby red with a slight garnet tint.

Scent we perceive notes of red fruits, licorice root , roasted tobacco leaf, leather and delicate scents of chocolate.

Flavor Its flexibility elegantly complements its richness. Its freshness comes from the balsamic notes and Mediterranean herbs in the aftertaste.
