In its production, Havana Club Especial is aged twice, for a richer and smoother flavour. It is a blend of young and old rums, creating a smooth and perfectly balanced flavour. After the initial blend, HCE is doubly aged in younger white oak barrels, selected by Havana Club's Cuban Rum Masters, thus enhancing the aromas of this liquid with soft notes of vanilla.
