Fukuoka Private Fine Arts Class Calligraphy Experience

Experience Japanese calligraphy, a popular cultural activity in Japan! This hands-on experience is perfect for travelers who want to explore traditional Japanese culture. Calligraphy not only improves handwriting, but also helps develop good posture and concentration. You’ll learn how to hold a brush correctly, sit with proper posture, prepare the ink, and write beautiful kanji characters with a brush. At the end of the session, you can choose a unique item — such as a shikishi board, uchiwa fan, folding fan, daruma doll, wind chime, or hanging scroll — to decorate with your calligraphy and take home as a special souvenir from Japan. The item is included in the experience fee. No prior experience is necessary — beginners are welcome!
